Sony bravia lcd model uk reviews-Sony KDZF9 4K LCD TV review | What Hi-Fi?

A good all rounder, but the 40in version is better, and with that in mind, the price seems a touch too steep. But while it's nothing special aesthetically, its specification is pretty darn good. In truth, though, we're not sure that AppliCast's painfully limited set of applications should be called a 'service'. The 37W also enjoys a reasonably plentiful series of picture adjustments, accessed via some pleasant, if at times slightly inscrutable, onscreen menus. As fans of the 40in variant, we'd expected to fall for the 37in model as well.

Sony is a shadow of a once great company. A bunch of incompetent arrogant dumbs who have brain dead people working on support so don't expect anything from them. Avoid buying any Sony product and let's hope some real competition for them in consoles show up. Believe me, you'll regret it. Got it home and installed it, this soundbar replaced my samsung w soundbar so i expected to be blown away with the volume and quality. The surround sound only works on the clear audiosetting, no surround sound on Movies, Music, Sports or Games, so no point having the option.

The w is incorrect, the out put of all speakers only adds up to w, and thats only if you have the clear audio selected, any of the other selections barely gives you w, the volume is very low, the max volume is 50 and you can talk over it easily.

Took it back to currys who agreed it could not be w, that it has been falsely represented, agreed it was not fit for purpose and gave me a full refund on the spot. We tested the instore model and we were amazed to see the exact same problems which staff hadn't picked up on, so my product is not faulty its just utterly inferior and over exagerated, won''t be bothering with Sony again, rip off.

Got a PS4 with my Xperia 10 there was supposed to be a years free PlayStation Plus but the code isn't available - it was supposed to be on the Xperia lounge app but that's being shut down over the week since I got the console and phone 9 emails 2 FB messages and 3 tweets and all they have to say is go to Virgin Media where I got it from VM say go back to Sony - awful customer service from both shambolic outfits.

Bought a 4K 60 inch Sony Bravia 6 months ago. Easy to set up and put on the stand bought separately , great screen, and lots of apps including Amazon Prime, Netflix, You Tube, etc but not Now TV Sky products so need a separate Sky plug in for that. After a couple of months, the apps started freezing up, even just loading them so I had to keep turning the TV off to re-set.

For a few months I could only watch TV via the aerial. I was just about to call John Lewis to get them to take a look, having exhausted all the on line fixes, none of which worked.

Then, not directly related to this I upgraded my router from an old Plusnet to a dual band Hub One from Plusnet. This solved all of the problems overnight, and everything works perfectly as well as a load of other issues we were having with iPad apps not downloading. So if you have connection issues make sure you have a decent router. No other problems with the TV itself.

Thinking of buying a Sony TV then think again, the support is rubbish. My TV has been in a Sony authorised repair centre for 4 weeks now and is still awaiting parts.

Why it takes 4 weeks to post out a circuit board is anybody's guess. I rang the support desk who were not interested if you do not have a case number from them, even though they sent me a text to say it had been booked in at an authorised centre. Didn't even ask my name or anything. All they can say is ring the repairer for an update and all the repairer can say is awaiting parts from Sony.

I have always purchased Sony products but unfortunately I think I will have to move over to another manufacturer going forward. Warrenty with Sony is a load of rubbish what ever is wrong with the phone they try to charge you for it. Xe uhd Tv had dead pixels just 3 weeks out of warranty, Sony does nothing Very happy with the service, efficient and satisfactory.

Unfortunately my replacement television which was only 4 months old, the screen stopped working. I was promised call backs after escalating the complaint and three-five days later I had to call them.

I have used Sony for a long time. No longer a trusted brand. So far I have discovered: 1. The built in web browser is rubbish - does not scroll web pages properly. The ITV and 4 catch up apps do not work. Sony seem to be another piece of oriental junk. Horrible experience. My Sony MX broken after just one week. Than I had to wait 4 weeks for repair. As I only use the headphones whilst on holiday they had been in normal use for less than 6 weeks.

They had not been misused nor dropped. From April I have been noticing flickering on the screen, but this would only happen after leaving the TV on for long periods of time e. But now the issue is so bad that it happens after just 15 minutes of viewing.

Never buy from Argos or Sony. Less than 4 years old, LCD panel failure. Vertical lines of death TCon board fine. Not worth repairing. Poor TV quality from what is supposed to be a "Premium Brand". It seems the Trinitron days are long gone, when Sony made things properly. I've replaced it with an LG, and won't be buying Sony ever again. Could Happened to you will just put your money in the bin like me. Be very aware! I purchased two pairs of Sony wireless headphones from John Pye Auctions.

One pairs works fine. The other pair won't switch on and reek of aftershave. When I viewed the photo online there was no yellow stick er on the headphones. When I opened the box sent to me there was a yellow "Sony Central Service" sticker on the left earphone and a copy of an email from Sony to Currys PC World, Tottenham advising Sony will be providing a full refund to Currys PC World's customer for the faulty headphones which were to be returned.

The worst customer services I have ever experienced. Simple as that. I bought an XZ3, from their official online store, which I wanted to leave a review for on their site and there's no way to do. They said I'd be sent an email with link to review but never got it. For a huge worldwide company their service is an absolute disgrace. Total cowboys. I'm going to move to a different brand after being brand loyal to Sony phones for well over 10 years.

The Sony 65ZF9 is a dizzying mix of delight and disappointment. It breaks new ground for LCD with its viewing angles, too. Now, finally, the inch KDZF9 is here. In truth, design is not a particularly exciting area for the 65ZF9. This is true, though, of every other TV on the market right now and probably right through until the latter part of next year.

Sony has also equipped the 65ZF9 with a YouView app. This outstanding noise management makes X1 Ultimate exceptionally flexible when it comes to working with different qualities of sub-4K content.

The 65ZF9 applies an automatic and undefeatable HDR conversion to standard dynamic range images with all of its picture presets bar the Custom and Cinema options.

Unfortunately, though, if anything things go slightly downhill for one simple but persistent reason: an unexpectedly underwhelming backlight performance. Very bright objects such as wall lights can cast strange circles of greyness onto the non-black walls behind them, for instance, subtly adjusting the colour of those parts of the wall in the process. All of this is totally unexpected given our experience of the Sony ZD9. And it also uses local dimming to ensure that different clusters of those LEDs can output their own light level, independently of their neighbours.

But it also makes native 4K sources look exquisite. Detail levels are high with both movie and music sources, and high pitched effects sound well rounded rather than harsh and exposed. There are, though, a couple of issues: First, dialogue sometimes - especially with male voices - seems to emerge from the bottom edge of the TV, so that it sounds slightly dislocated from the onscreen action.

It can go loud without crumbling, though, and delivers lots of detail and dynamics. Its colour range is colossal too. Next Up. Home Reviews TV.
