The 22-Year-Old Founder of Everex Cloudbook’s gOS Rocket

by atticus ~ January 19, 2008

ComputerWorld had an interview with David Liu, the head of development for gOS Rocket. In case you are wondering, gOS Rocket is the Linux operating system that is going to grace Cloudbook. Fresh out of UCLA, Liu first worked as an IT contractor for a few months before starting Good OS.

In the company’s short operating history, the seven person outfit had managed to snag a deal with Everex to provide their low-cost gPC with gOS. Everex must be happy with the arrangement as the upcoming Cloudbook is going to come pre-installed with gOS as well. According to Liu, the company had entered into a six month exclusivity deal with Everex. However, he has been courting of PC-makers in both US and Asia about pre-installing gOS.

Hopefully, we will get to see more good things from Liu and his company. Do visit ComputerWorld’s interview with David Liu to find out more. You may also want to visit David Liu’s blog. To read up on gOS Rocket, please refer to an earlier blog entry regarding gOS 2.0 Rocket Reviews and Downloads.
