Sylvania g NetBook Gets Reviewed at CNET

CNET has reviewed the Sylvania g NetBook and gave it a lowly rating of 5.5/10. Perhaps at US$299, the mini laptop should get a higher score. Here’s what CNET has to say about the Sylvania g NetBook:

The good: Very small and light; on the low end of the Netbook price scale; twice the RAM of other $399 Netbooks.

The bad: Tiny 7-inch screen limits usability; underpowered processor; world’s smallest touch pad.

The bottom line: The tiny Sylvania G Netbook offers decent battery life and can be had for a low price, but it still brings up the rear of the Netbook pack, with a small 7-inch screen, underpowered CPU, and a microscopic touch pad.

I talked with a dude from Digital Gadgets, who said that the model CNET got had outdated software, and most of the problems they’ve experienced are fixed now. Also, CNET got the netbook before the price drop.
