More reviews on Maxdata Belinea s.book 1 has appeared on the internet since I last posted about the ultra portable. UK review sites, ITWeek.co.uk and Pocket-Link.co.uk, rated the tiny laptop 3/5 and 8/10 respectively.

ITWeek.co.uk made the following conclusions:

Maxdata’s Belinea s.book 1 shrinks the laptop about as far as it can reasonably go and still be useful. At about a kilogram, it is easy to carry around, but the 7in display makes it unsuitable for applications needing large desktop real estate, and the Skype handset will probably have little appeal to corporate buyers.

PROS: Compact and light; Blutooth handset for VoIP calls

CONS: Small screen; VoIP handset is Skype only; no docking station

Pocket-Link.co.uk had the following verdict:

The Belinea s.book 1 won’t suit everyone, but its intended market will appreciate the light weight and overall build quality of the machine. If you need to have a Windows-based machine with you on a regular basis, this is a great option to go for.
