FIC Announces New MeePC Line

First International Computer (FIC), the Taiwanese manufacturer of Everex Cloudbook, have unveiled four new ultra-mobile personal computers (UMPC). Dubbed the MeePC line, these new mini laptops come with Bluetooth and a PCI express card slot. Besides sporting an 1.8″ HDD and supporting up to 1Gb of RAM, they also share the same dimensions as existing CE260 (Beline s.book 1, Cloudbook CE1200J, iDOT CE260) and CE261 (Cloudbook CE1200V, Easynote XS, Zyrex Ubud) designs.
Among the new UMPCS is the CW060, which is based on Intel 945GSE chipset and Intel Diamonville platform. CE262 and CE263 appear to be direct updates to CE260 and CE261 respectively. CE262 comes with 7″ touch panel screen and optional modules such as VoIP handset and GPS receiver. CE263 features a webcam and a revised touchpad. Finally, there is the CE2A0 which comes with a 8.9″ screen, capable of running a resolution of 1280 x 768.

Personally, I am most interested in CE2A0 because of the bigger screen size. How about you?

I’d be interested in the one with the larger screen, too, but in the above list only the CE262 has a GPS module listed as an available accessory. Hmm, but perhaps a GPS module is hiding behind the question-marks ;)

My guess is that both CW060 and CE2A0 will come with a webcam. For CE2A0, I thought a native resolution of 1024×600 would be good enough.
