Everex Cloudbook Delayed - Availability Postponed to Late February

As reported in ComputerWorld, Everex had announced that its highly anticipated Cloudbook will not be available until late February. According to Paul Kim, Everex’s director of marketing, the delay was caused by “a couple of last-minute software tweaks” to its gOS Rocket operating system.

The upcoming Chinese New Year public holidays are another cause of the delay. In Taiwan, 5th to 8th February 2008 are public holidays while in China, the holidays are between 6th and 8th February 2008. Chinese workers often take extended holidays during this period and businesses are generally in “holiday mode”.

Originally planned for released on 25th January 2008, disappointed consumers would have to wait for a another month to get their hands on the Everex Cloudbook. Meanwhile, CloudbookUMPC.com is committed to provide latest updates on the release of Everex Cloudbook.
