Everex Cloudbook CE1200V Documentations (User Manual, Setup Guide) and Windows XP Drivers

by atticus ~ February 15, 2008

At Everex Cloudbook CE1200V download page, you will find the following documentations and drivers for download.

Some general comments:

Drivers
Great job from Everex! They have lived up to their earlier promise of providing Windows XP drivers to us.

Product Specifications
The Cloudbook CE1200V product specifications do not really show anything new. In fact, it should be the same file found in Everex Press page.

Setup Guide
The quick setup guide provides basic instructions to get the Cloudbook up and running. Labeled parts of the Cloudbook and a screenshot of the gOS desktop were included in the guide. From the gOS screenshot, you will see a row of familiar applications which includes Firefox, Skype, Youtube, Facebook and Blogger.

User Manual
The Cloudbook CE1200V user manual are divided into the following chapters:

  • Chapter 1 Introduction
  • Chapter 2 Getting Started
  • Chapter 3 Using Your CloudBook
  • Chapter 4 Multimedia Setup
  • Chapter 5 Connecting External devices
  • Chapter 6 System BIOS Setup
  • Chapter 7 Upgrade Options
  • Chapter 8 Care and Maintenance
  • Appendix A System Specifications

Something I find interesting is the presence of a ‘leaf’ key which serves as the Linux Start Menu Key. I believe it will double as the Windows key under Windows. There are more things to discuss regarding the user manual, especially some inconsistencies I spotted. I will organize them for discussion in a separate post.

    Hi Steve,

Yes. It appears that there is no Bluetooth. I have to update Everex Cloudbook and Asus EeePC comparison table again. :P
