Everex Cloudbook CE1200V Delayed to 21 February 2008, ZaReason Explains their Side
by atticus ~ February 16, 2008
It is official, Everex Cloudbook has been delayed to 21 February 2008 . If you are to visit Everex Website, you will see the following:

ZaReason, the only company able to ship some Cloudbook units on 15 February 2008, explains their side of the story. Apparently, the change from Enlightenment to GNOME has caused the initial delay from 25 January 2008 to 15 February 2008.
After that, snow storms in China slowed production and Everex was only able to complete 1/3 of their initial planned units. With distributors to satisfy, Everex has to reallocate their Cloudbook units. Needless to say, portion of ZaReason allotment went to the other companies. While ZaReason has started shipping their Cloudbooks, I wonder what the other distributors are doing by holding onto their stash.
We hope Everex can work out the kinks soon. We look forward to seeing a Cloudbook unit on our door step. :)
