Everex Cloudbook CE1200J with Touchscreen Arrives in Japan

by atticus ~ March 18, 2008

Everex Japan has just announced the availability of Everex Cloudbook CE1200J. Priced at US$615 (59,800 Yen), the ultra portable will start selling in the Japanese market from 22 March 2008.

Key differences between Cloudbook CE1200J and Cloudbook CE1200V is that the former comes with touch screen panel, Windows XP home, modular webcam and a touchpad that is located below the keyboard. A modular webcam is new among touchscreen Nanobooks as a modular VoIP handset is usually bundled instead. Anyway, according to Everex Japan’s website, an optional VoIP handset is also available.

Does this mean we will start seeing the touchscreen version of Cloudbook (aka Devbook) in U.S. soon?
