CNN Reviews MacBook Air, Sony VAIO & Everex Cloudbook
by atticus ~ April 30, 2008
In what CNN Money calls a nanobooks face-off, Apple MacBook Air ($1,800 to $3,000), Everex Cloudbook ($399), and Sony VAIO Tz 298N ($3,700) were reviewed by Elizabeth Mateo. You might be wondering why MacBook Air and Sony VAIO were compared to a 7 inch, low-cost UMPC like Everex Cloudbook. But it all makes sense as the reviewer was looking for a sleek computer that she could bring to cocktail parties while looking chic at the same time. Here’s her conclusion:
The MacBook Air really won me over. It does not compromise on keyboard or screen size. The Mac OS was fairly easy to use (though I’ll never get used to not having a right mouse button). If you need to use Windows, you can install a program called Bootcamp, which switches between Mac and Windows. I now lust for this laptop and will switch to a Mac as soon as possible.
