Carphone Warehouse Launches 10.2 inch Elonex Webbook

Carphone Warehouse has recently lauched the Elonex Webbook. Selling at £249 (USD495) or free with a broadband plan, the webbook has the following specifications:
Processor: VIA C7-M 1.6Ghz
Memory: 512Mb RAM
Storage: 80Gb
Display: 10.2″ Widescreen @ 1024×600
Operating System: Genuine Microsoft® Windows Windows XP®
Battery Life: Up to 2.5hrs
USB Ports: 3
Weight: 1.3Kg

This sector seems to be exploding lately. I’m really looking forward to the latest on the upcoming Dell. If it does hit the $300 price point that would be a segment killer imho.

My perference is still with the 8.9 inchers though, preferably within 1kg. So far, I haven’t seen many new models which falls into that category.
